Sally Morton (Proprietor)

I have been qualified for 18 years with the N.N.E.B. certificate.  I completed th Early Years Foundation Degree in 2009 and am now working towards the full degree and Early Years Professional Status. The majority of my experience has been in a day nursery with children aged 6 weeks - 5 years old since settling in York. I am married with 3 children aged 9, 6 and 1.

India Palmer ( Nursery Manager)

I achieved my BTEC Level Three in Early Years at Selby College in 2007 whilst working for two years at a private day nursery near Selby. I then worked at a large private day nursery in Leeds for 1.5 year, first as PreSchool Room Leader, then as Deputy Manager. Whilst there I achieved my EYP status which is the equivalent of qualified teacher status for nurseries. I then took a post as Manager of a private day nursery where I worked until moving to Walmgate in May 2009. I am First Aid qualified and am also the SENCO for the setting. 

Emma Routledge (Deputy Manager & Team Leader - Pre-School Room)

I qualified as a Nursery  Nurse in 1998 with a BTEC Diploma in Nursery Nursing. I then worked in a private day nursery with a group of children aged 2-3 years in Whitby where I lived. In January 2000 I moved to York after being offered a job in a private nursery, where I was team leader in the pre-school room. I worked here for 2.5 years before I moved to Walmgate Day Nursery when it opened in July 2002. I hold a First Aid qualification and I am also the Behaviour Management Co-ordinator.

Faye Bowker (Team Leader baby Room)

I have a level 3 Cache Diploma in Childcare and Education and level 2 certificate in play work and also have a Paediatric First Aid Certificate. I have nannied for two children age 2 years and 9 months. I have also done supply work at Daisy Chain Nursery with children of various ages.

Amy Moore (Toddler Room Team Leader)

I have completed my first aid certificate. I am qualified at NVQ Level 2 in 2004 and in 2008 I qualified at NVQ Level 3. I worked at Scott Road pre-school for 1.5 years and Escrick play school for 1 year I also worked at Riccall school for a year. I started working at Walmgate Day Nursery in April 2005.

Donna Standlick (Nursery Nurse)

I qualified in childcare in 2002 with the BTEC National Diploma in Early Years. I started working in a nursery in January 2009 when I did relief work at a nursery in Rawcliffe. I then started at Walmgate Day Nursery in the Preschool room in May 2009. I also have my first aid and food hygiene certificates. 

 Tina Bruin (Baby Room Nursery Nurse)

I am qualified at CACHE Diploma Level 2 and also qualified at Level 3 in 2008. I started working at Walmgate Day Nursery in March 2008.

 Andrew Topping (Nursery Assistant)

I first started working at a Preschool in Fulford in February 2006 where I began my NVQ 2 in Childcare, Learning and Development. I moved to a nursery and successfully completed my NVQ 2, then moved to an Out of School Club. In October 2008 I began doing supply work at Walmgate Day Nursery before accepting a full time position. I also have a first aid qualification and hope to complete my NVQ3. 

Emma Sanderson (Nursery Assistant)

I trained at York College and qualified in 2003 at a CACHE diploma Level 2. After college I went to work at Flaxton children’s nursery where I gained experience with all age groups of children. I also hold a First Aid qualification.  I started working at Walmgate in March 2006.
